Xpressor
The Elysia Xpressor is a great little compressor with plenty of features such as side chain, gain reduction limiter, and a mix button for easy parallel compression duties. Great on 2 bus but my favorite application is probably piano.
We’re all for digital. There’s nothing like editing on a Pro Tools rig, but when it comes to audio processing emulations can only take you so far, and there is no substitute for the real thing. Experience the true power of analog sweetening.

Looking for that thick and fat sound to beef up your 2 bus? Look no further, the VintageDesign CL1 will give you all of that and more. Especially note how it excels on beefing up the snare and gluing everything together.
This compressor is so simple and yet so versatile. A great and useful feature is the warmth control, which works wonders on evil hi-hats leaking into your snare mic. You can also get away with some serious compression without the Fatso ever sounding bad. Awesome on anything from drums, guitars and harmonies.
Oh my God, this might be the best compressor ever! But be warned, if you’re looking for a clean and polished sound, look elsewhere. This beast provides plenty of tube color (and some grit) to go around for everybody. Once you’ve heard it on vocals, there’s no going back. No wonder that the Sta-Level…
A studio standard that will give your track that certain snap. Designed for the 2 bus, but works wonders on acoustic guitars that need taming or why not give your drum bus some extra punch.
Rupert has done it again! He’s produced another classic. This compressor can handle any task and offers two distinct flavors thanks to the Feedforward (more modern sounding) and the Feedback (more old school) modes. Love this compressor on the 2 bus or bass.
One of the sweetest tube compressors that there is. Kills on vocals and bass. It gives you that gooey tube sound with some added sparkle to the top. Another really cool application is to smash a drum room mic with this baby. It will put a smile on your face for sure.
This unit offers a variety of colors thanks to the different Comp Curves and the Germanium Drive and Feedback controls that it can be used on almost anything. Some favorite applications include acoustic guitar and mandolin. Also great for parallel compression thanks to the Mix Control.
What can be said about this compressor that hasn’t already been said? Probably one of the most used compressors in the history of popular music. Whether you’re looking to give your vocal track some attitude or simply smack the living daylight out of a drum kit using the all-button-in trick (preferably in parallel), this is the ticket.

This tube EQ is a modern take on the Pultec classic. It shines on beefing up snare drums (or thin sounding vocals for that matter) using the classic Pultec trick (boosting and attenuating at the same time).
One of the best sounding tube EQ’s that there is. It’s like having two Pultecs on steroids. It does not get any better than this. Shines on everything, whether it be 2 bus, vocals, snare or kick. There’s nothing it can’t make sound better.
This EQ is a real workhorse, it might not be as colored as some other EQ’s but if you need to do a little sculpting this is your EQ. Don’t forget the filters, they’re truly amazing. Love the Harrison on kick and snare, but then again I have yet to come across something that it couldn’t handle.
A Design’s Hammer has become somewhat of a modern classic. Give your 2 bus some magic fairy dust with this excellent tube EQ. It also shines on vocals and most everything you throw at it.
One of my favorite EQ’s of all time. This baby is sooo sweet! Add a couple of dB at 15k to your acoustic guitar and you’re good to go. It’s so incredibly sweet and never harsh. It’s a very colored EQ, but that’s what I love about it. It adds all the right colors, so to speak.

Created by Rupert himself, this preamp is really sweet sounding and a nice feature is the silk button adding a sweet sheen to you track. I pretty much always leave that button in. The EQ section is really sweet sounding.
This is a great sounding preamp. A little bit more open in the top end than the API 312, which sometimes is just what you’re looking for. I love this preamp on acoustic guitar, just add a bit of air on the beautiful EQ section and you’ve got a killer tone for sure.
This is like a modern version of the 1073. It has more of an open high end than the 1073 and an excellent EQ for gentle shaping duties. Electric guitars sound awesome through this unit.

This will package will certainly affect your 2bus more drastically than the ”smooth” option, but this can be a good thing. The shorter attack and release will give your drums more definition and oomph as well as making vocals sit better in the track. EQ-wise we’ll de-mud and open up your track.
This package will gently gel your mix together using slow attack and release on the compressor/limiter. Furthermore, it will give you that expensive shimmery top end that only a truly great tube EQ can achieve. The result will be fatter and more cohesive as well as less muddy and with a smooth top end to […]
This is your best bet if you have a well-recorded vocal track that somehow is still lacking a little in the attitude department. Depending on your source material we might give your track a good spanking with the 1176, which will give your track plenty of attitude and grit. EQ-wise we might use a vintage […]
This package will give your vocal track smooth processing in terms of compression and EQ. We’ll gently massage your track into perfection using a compressor such as the Sta-Level or an La2a and, depending on your source material, we might open up the top with the ultra smooth Retro 2A3. This is the ultimate package […]

Same preamp as the 5032 minus the EQ. Simply beautiful sounding.
Probably the most used preamp in the world. Fat bottom with silky top, this preamp kills on anything from vocals to drums and lest not forget electric guitar or simple run your entire mix (or drum bus for that matter) through this baby and let the transformers beef up your sound.
Chandler Germanium is a terrific preamp which can get really dirty and fat, just like the Germanium compressor. A cool feature is the Fat button, which makes everything, yeah you guessed it, sound incredibly fat. The preamp sounds wicked on bass and guitar (both electric and acoustic). It doesn’t get any fatter than this.
A remake of the classic/vintage API. Similar to the 3124+ but with a little fatter low end.
A great preamp which pays homage to the renowned 1073. Push in the 28k button for some high end sparkle.
A classic among preamps. It has a beautiful mid-range bump that really tends to bring out the “wood” in an acoustic guitar and don’t even get me started on using the 312 on drums. The transient response is simple brilliant, giving your kick and snare plenty of thwack.
